PSA To All Patreon Creators/Users!

Hello! I am writing this to inform all Patreon Users and Creators of a major event going down with Patreon. On July 30th, Patreon has lost a lawsuit they filed against fans of Owen Benjamin, a comedian kicked off the platform due to violating their 'terms of service', and now will have to pay millions in arbitration fees. Last year, Owen Benjamin was kicked off of Patreon for violating their terms on “hate speech.” Benjamin then encouraged his fans to sue the site, given they had participated in, in legal terms, “tortious interference with a business relationship.” Patreon’s terms included language that allowed any users of the platform to litigate their case individually under California’s JAMS arbitration scheme. Or in simpler terms, Patreon forced users into a situation where they could only defend themselves in arbitration, that way no one could group up and sue them in one huge lawsuit. This strategy would backfire however, as the fans of Owen Benjamin took Patreon up on this

holy cow this site is garbage now. It takes me like ten minutes to even find all my notifications. And I can't even remove them without leaving the pic, removing it, then going on to the next one. Like this update actively made the site worst.
